Roots, Heart, and Wings: Part 1 of a 2-Part Yoga and Meditation Series to Revitalize Your Practice

Two workshops to root your attention in the body and bring a newfound curiosity to your daily life.

Hosted by TriYoga, London.

Part One: From the ground up

This workshop will begin with an anatomical and physical exploration of our feet. The feet are fundamental to our practice as they literally anchor us to the stable earth. Did you know that there is a layer of connective tissue that goes from your feet to the space behind the eyes, so that attention to the feet can blossom into whole-body awareness? We will experience this connection through a slow, deep, breath-centered asana practice. After our physical practice, Margi will guide a meditation based on the first foundation of mindfulness, which is the body. From that anchored attention you will be invited to investigate the intention of moving ‘off the mat’ and making a tangible plan for living with more ease.

Part Two: From the sky down

Yoga poses are often taught and experienced from the ground up. But in this workshop, we will be orienting our physical practice from the top down for a different understanding. By experiencing the floating brain, the soft palate in the mouth, and the occipital ridge of the skull, we will allow the rest of our body drop down to earth. This workshop will finish with a guided meditation based on the Buddha’s third foundation of mindfulness, which is mindfulness of emotions. Margi will offer insight into how we can understand and relate to our emotional states with more intelligence and fluidity.

Investment: $61.83 for 2-part series, $34.35 for single workshop
