Part 2 of a 3-part series on January 9, 16 and 23. 9a PST/ 12P EST
Join Jennifer Brilliant and Margi Young for 3 experiential yoga classes intended to highlight different aspects of ourselves as a way of illuminating our experience of being human. The classes will include short anatomical teachings, creative but grounded movement practices including inversions, and ideas to integrate the teachings into your week.
The classes are 75 minutes with the option to stay for 15 minutes to ask questions and chat all things yoga! We encourage you to take all 3 parts (if you miss one, we will send you the recording) but you are also welcome to take part in the full series.
January 16th
Part 2: Hips to Feet
What happens when you hear the words guts and hips? In this class we will make friends with this integral part of the body and relate the intelligence of the gut to the ability of our feet to root. We will find our standing and balancing poses with a lower body strength that will give the heart and hands space to soar.
January 23nd
Part 3: Spine and Rivers of Support
Now that we have linked hands to heart, and pelvis to feet it is time to take a fresh look at your glorious spine. The class will start with anatomy, especially recognizing that there is a fluid river in the spinal cord which connects your pelvis to your brain. In practice we will soften and strengthen the core which surrounds the spine and use that awareness to flip the narrative and live the power of a safely supported headstand. By the end of this series of polishing the facets, you will feel like the well polished star that you are.
