Join long-time teaching partners Mimi Kuo-Deemer and Margi Young as they offer a December mini-retreat right in your own home!
For two hours, you can tune-in and practice a potpourri of offerings to help calibrate your body’s nervous system. We will begin with qigong to open channels and release tension. From there we will move into Mimi and Margi’s signature alignment-and-breath-based yoga practice focused on a free and fluid spine. Into the practice will be woven movements designed for soothing, orienting and grounding. A supported savasana will then be offered for guided relaxation (bring a stack of blankets!) The practice will culminate with a meditation practice, inviting you to sit quietly and delve into your experience of being present in a settled body without negating the turbulent world we are in. We are hoping that after these two hours, you will treat yourself to a delicious nutritious meal and take extra rest, so that the feeling is similar to the feeling you get after a restful and relaxing holiday.
Mimi Kuo-Deemer and Margi Young have joined together to practice and teach yoga, dive deep into spiritual teachings and appreciate life for 16 years. Combined they have over 35 years of teaching experience! Mimi loves to practise and share qigong, and they both offer alignment-and-breath-based vinyasa flow as well as meditation and restorative yoga. Underlying all their practices is a deep and strong current of mindfulness, which they are both certified to teach through the Mindfulness Training Institute. Having partnered to teach together in Italy, Mexico, London, New York and Spain since 2011, they have honed the art of co-teaching, which they offer with a balance of playfulness, precision and infectious joy.
